Millan Essentials

Ingredients:

 

• 3.7 lb. box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda (55 oz. or 1.56 kg) 

• 4 lb. box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (64 oz. or 1.81 kg) 

• 4lb 12 oz. box Borax (76 oz. or 2.15 kg)

• 1 lb. Millan Essentials 80% Olive Castile Shreds

• 3.5 lb. any brand oxygen cleaner (not recommended for dark fabrics)

• Essential oils of your choice (I use a combination of the following: sweet orange, tangerine, lemon, tea tree or lavender)

 

Instructions:

 

Combine the first three ingredients in a large bucket or container.  Mix carefully before adding shredded castile soap. If your soap shreds are large, pulse the mixture through a food processor two cups at a time until even. Add essential oils of your choice.

 

Use 1 tablespoon for HE machines and regular sized loads.  May use up to 2 tablespoons for large capacity washers.  Water hardness level varies and might affect the amount of soap you need.

 

Tip:  Add distilled white vinegar to your bleach or fabric softener compartment to soften your clothes and keep your washing machine clean and free of build-up. Once a month, run an empty load with hot water and vinegar to deep clean your machine.
